Car Finance - Epilepsy - Insurance

I am waiting to see a neurologist after having seizures back in November last year. My licensed has been medically revoked.
My car insurance was up for renewal - however they can't insure me without a license (even though I'm not driving)
My car is in a contract purchase agreement with Moneybarn and have been making on time and regular payments for 16 months of £225 per month (contract is for 4 years)
Moneybarn state that I have to have fully comp insurance. Therefore now I can't get insured, they say I am in breech of my contract and have to give the car back us pay (halves clause) of over £1600
Or I can sell to a dealership who then pays the settlement figure of £5278 - the car is not worth that.
It's a Citroen C4 grand Picasso 08 plate with 82,000 on the clock.
I can transfer to a family member, however Moneybarn say I have to be a named driver on the insurance - I can't get insurance!!!
I have rang the DVLA and they can't advise.
I'm not sure what I can do - I would be ok to give the car back and cut my losses, but don't feel I should have to pay the penalty clause as well!!!
Please help - I am going round in circles!

I do not think I will give you any good news - you entered into the contract with the company - only you know whether you had symptoms before you did this.
If you cannot afford or want to pay off the finance and buy the car then getting rid is the only legal option.0 -

Before you do anything else, I suggest you look at the following link and contact Epilepsy Action's website for advice. See https://www.epilepsy.org.uk/info/equality/epilepsy-insurance
Epilepsy is covered by disability discrimination legislation. If EA can't help you, they may be able to put you in touch with someone who can. This web link gives several contact address of other organisations and a freefone number for Epilepsy Action itself.
Also do a search in the insurance section of MSE using epilepsy as a key word. There is another discussion about epilepsy and driving which might help you.0
