Housing question

Hi, apologies for rash of questions!
I am presently living in rented accommodation, but we were served notice recently (unrelated to bankruptcy) and have been planning to move back to our mortgaged property in a different part of the country. That property is in significant negative equity.
I am presently terrified that with all of what's happening I will end up homeless. The mortgaged property has a suspended possession order on it, although the Court acknowledge they wrongly did not put any information I submitted to them before the Court & I am allowed to appeal that order free from Court costs. I am guessing that now I need permission to do this?
If I am able to maintain mortgage payments, will the house be sold? The negative equity is approx £20k still, although the house prices are rising. I cannot see them exceeding the mortgage within the next year.
I have 2 young children & I am panicking. Apologies if this is garbled & thank you for bearing with me.
