Hi all. Decided to try & NOT get any more clothes for now and just hang in there. I did look in tesco/asda & Sains but nothing I liked so will just keep tying things up so they dont fall down! A good DFW week, esp bearing in mind that I've been off! Not spent and my £10 unnecessary money remains intact which I'm really chufed about! Major dilemma getting petrol as was going to use CC as mega skint but was a good girl & decided not to! Possibly will have to toward the end of the month as a couple of long work journeys to do and until I get organised may have to. Also mid changing accounts over so that doesent help & very confusing.
Now got quite a bit listed on ebay & investgating selling a silver jubilee cup I have but unsure of value so seeking advice!
Also think it would be worth more to keep it until queen is no longer here! (sounds awful...would I sell my own mum? yes prob & she'd happily put herself in the pot if it would get me out of debt!! Oh the levels we sink to fellow DFWs!!).
Been feeling a bit cack the last couple of days and trying to be positive & stop berating myself for my own stupidity at getting to this place again!
Diet going ok but this no eating food lark is a pain in the bum! BORING! Mind you pounds are dropping off and its actually quite satisfying knowing that your fat is being used to fuel you in a psycho kind of way! Mind you some days I must get a lump as feel shattered at times! Off to watch BB - hope chanelle goes!

Hey fishface, nice to see the diary returned :)

What happens when you go back on food with this diet? How long is it no food for?

Very good question Gemmzie! I have no idea! Its getting expensive but I want to hang in as long as I can because I think its really important to complete the process so probably 2 months (or until I get to about 9 1/2 stone) of no eating & then gradually reintroduce food on the "management" phase of the diet which is meant to be over about 3 months on a reducing fee scale (thank goodness!) - you gradually replace food packs with food & look at trigger foods etc along the way which in my book is essential to not putting it back on!

A good DFW week in many ways as I've spent none of my £10 unecessary money which is good and I now carry forward £13.01 into next week! The dilemma there though is do you get the cash out & put it in the jar or leave it in the bank offsetting my one account!! Problems problems!!
I've also registered for babysitting on a local website (free of course!) and checked my credit report and all fine there but not a good credit score because I havent had credit for over a year!! Ironic isnt it! Wont do anything for now but will consider moving when my 0% is up! Must also close some of my old accounts & have started already.
Going to have a day at the allotment today as nothing done in the last week due to DFW efforts & will try & list more stuff on ebay. Problem is alot of it is my old large clothes that no longer fit & they need ironing!!

Well I've finally sat down & worked it all out again! Somewhat depressing as still over the 30 mark but looking at the figures I have paid off £6356.85 since I started in April 06, despite slippage so am just going to stop beating myself up & start again! Totals for now are £7285 on cc's (which I'll update on payday as its the end of this week!) & the rest on my two loans which seem to go forever! (87 & 84 payments respectively!) Yup they DO go on forever! Never mind, its done! CC's I have no managed to sort two LOB rates - 3.9% on M&S & goldfish so that will help and will get the 17.9% one off first (MSDW card - now the same co as goldfish I realise!) My cunning plan to transfer this £7285.53 went awry because of this but the bulk is on low rate so focus on them first! At the end of the day I am doing all I can so cant do more. Olympic challenge is underway & going OK. Doing loads of surveys! Plus ebay stuff & hoping my Tiffany ring will go (6 watchers now!) which all helps. Despite not berating myself I feel incredibly cross with myself, despite paying quite a bit off (would have been more though!) - not so much because of the debt but because I am repeatedly stupid with money!! Will I EVER learn I wonder! Mind you was pleased to see how much I have paid off! Must off as only popped home from work after a meeting & now have to go back to by where I work (20 miles away) because its my lighterlife night tonight! At least I had some time to go through stuff though and it feels better that I am quite close to the £30,000 mark (£31,042 to be precise!!) so a biggie milestone on the way! Plus i now know whats what & account book up to date ready for pay day this week! Am pretty much decided that I will "borrow" money from my terramundi (size 12 clothes fund), if nothing else to save the 19.9% interest that I am payng on MSDW, even if only for a few months, it will make a difference so this months aim to to pay that card off if at all possible! Onwards & upwards!

Goldfish do a 3.9% offer? Did you ring them or they contact you?

You definitely sound like your back :)

Yes I'm back, with a vngence!! Goldfish is the same company as MSDW which I hadnt realised when I applied online (after I checked my credit score!) but I rang them as they have a LOB transfer offer of 3.9% but apparently its a max of 36 months BUT will enable me to pay that bit of cheaper than doing 0% balance transfers all the time & is much easier me thinks plus will also encourage me to pay off as much as I can because I'm paying interest!!

Well just done my accounts (see sig!). It's been quite a good DFW week. I am SOOO close to the £30,000 mark I can nearly taste it! Doing well on the unecessary challenge and have had quite a few no spenders this week. CC's coming down & new spreadsheets done. Monthly budget will take a while to sort due to new gas & elec & council tax payments but nowt I can do about any of these - the problem with switching. I am also hoping to get dosh back from Npower who I think have been overcharging me for months. I also rang previous lenders re mortgage exit fees & have written to Northern Rock as requested. HSBC didnt charge one apparently!
£450 off CC's this month which is good and leaves me feeling like I am back on track! Done a few surveys and tidied again! Bills are a pain as they seem to be left all over the place & must start being good & putting them in their little basket! Debated whether to snowball calc the CC's but never did before as I found it a bit depressing! I much prefer to keep paying as much as I can and keep to the minigoals of this! I also find when I am doing well that I have a tendency to get a wee bit complacent! Debated whether to go swimming & didnt. Finding the diet tough & would give my left arm for a lemon chicken & egg fried rice with popadam!! Not going to as very close now - just want to loose just over a stone & a half to get me to 9 1/2 stone before I go onto management where I start to introduce food. Gets harder by the day and I really wish M&S would stop doing food adverts - as well as pizza for that matter! Agony!! Off to see what books avail on amazon for my GFK survey money of £10. Going for low GI diet when I go back to food so want to get recipe books!
