I read about clearance bargains who sell for Argos, they have a shop now on ebay and are selling these described as brand new, the one I had my eye on went for £160 plus £7.99 postage but my snipe bid was £140. I haven't bought from them before but an seriously considering it.
Heres a link to a current auction just look at completed to see the average price they go for.

A good buy at that price. I've got one and paid about £290 last year

    Sorry!

    Yes it's a good camcorder!

Doesn't take memory cards for stills however, like some do, although I've never felt the 'need' for that facility.

Widescreen 16:9 display and widescreen or 4:3 recording format.

Not HD, before someone pipes up with that fact.

1.3 Megapixels, which is plenty for video playback, as it is the same as most screens display at.

You'll use this so much in Florida, I've got about 15 DVDS of our holiday in November that we watch constantly. And the great thing is its so small and tidy I was able to carry mine around in a small bag and only pull it out when I needed it!
I remember my uncle had a camcorder in the early eighties, it took two people to get it up on his shoulder!!!!!!
