Yes, they're genuine ! Have been around for a number of years, formally known as Airtours (nickname Scaretours).
They are a typical British charter airline ! Don't expect too much from them. Used to have a notoriously bad punctuality/serviceability record, but have improved, so much so that they were the most punctual UK charter airline in 2006.0 -
Hi There
If you are flexible about where you fly from why not try www.flyzoom.com ? I just did a quick query and got tickets each way for £130 (not including meals or taxes but still seems reasonably good - though I may be wrong) Hope this helps

Hey my family and I flew with Zoom Airlines to Canada (Vancouver) from Manchester Airport. As they were a budget airline we didn't expect too much, but the service was fantastic. My parents had just got married and when I mentioned this to the staff they brought some champers for them and the pilot announced it over the PA. Being a vegetarian I also didn't expect a lot from the food but they brought mine first for me instead of waiting half an hour after everyone else as I have had to on some airlines. It wasn't bad food either. Had no issues at all with this airline, definetely one to check out!

I am due to fly out next week on Zoom's new service to New York (just started last month and it's their first US service - they were previously UK to Canada only).
Your post, Kayteehee has reassured me somewhat as I was a bit apprehensive, given that they seem to be the long-haul equivalent of EasyJet!
But I got a return for ~£280 with Zoom (plus £50 easyjet return from Glasgow to Gatwick) when the big boys (BA, Virgin, Continental) were all looking for ~£550 - so I couldn't pass up that price.
I suppose the big worry is that because Zoom are smaller, they have less back-up and so are less able to deal with technical problems (or get a repleacement) if the aircraft breaks down.
But I guess that's just your luck and what travel insurance is for!0 -

Exactly, that's why I was wondering if legit airline....:D
However, I notice 2 cheapo sites for Canada bookings; (zoom worked out nearly £300 dearer for our dates after all charges)

(schedules on the left and online booking on the right of the screen)
