Alright, clam down, your gonna have a coronary (who said hopefully?)
My credit history is minor compared to some, probably even you. Blips happen you know.

Get off your high horse. You spend most of your time posting on here, so you can hardly claim to be "living the life " can you?

Ah, you're one of the didn't get the answer I wanted to hear, so I'll start personally abusing people brigade.

Your "minor" credit history is still going to make the best rates unavailable to you.

I bet that you said that you could easily afford the payments on your previous loans and look what happened there.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Buy something reasonable for £5k and save the other 5k for a rainy day :) Don't get into debt for what is a depreciating asset

Even if you do get finance, the car salesman will know you're on the hook then and you'll end up paying more for the car AND a lot more on the finance.

The very last thing you need when buying a car is the salesman knowing you're desparate and you have no other choices.

I would never buy an expensive depreciating item like a car on credit unless it was a 0% deal. 10 grand will buy you a nice motor.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

    "easily afford the payments"
    +
"I have previous bad debts but they will be paid off soon"

These two statements contradict each other, and its not just me who will be thinking that but any potential lenders you apply to.

I would say very unlikely to get a loan, other than maybe a loan on very expensive terms indeed.

I second the idea of the car budget being what you can afford in cash.

I'll wager the £10k has not been saved but more like a fortunate windfall.

Is a shame really that people really are so financially inept.

There's more chance the next winter olympics will be held in Birkenhead than there is of you getting car finance if there are still unsettled defaults showing on your credit history.

Once they're satisfied your chances rise from SFA to slightly less than slim.

Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be :D

Just because you run into a few problems in your life doesn't make you inept.
You are obviously one jealous offensive person.
I don't see the point of you hanging round this forum (and others no doubt) criticising people who run into bad luck.

Go and get yourself a life. Take a good look at yourself and what YOU have achieved. Are you happy?
I didn't start this, I just looking for advice on what to me, is a complicated subject.

Now leave me alone before I tell on you!
