Hi and welcome! You've made an important first step and you will find loads of support and inspiration on here. I can imagine how worrying it is, dealing with the stress of your husband finding out on top of the debt itself. People will no doubt have their own opinions about whether you should tell him or not, but personally I think that's for you to decide. Some of the best tips I have got from this site are to do with keeping a spending diary - it really helps you work out where those small amounts are going and they really do add up! Best of luck!0

Well i've got a little note book (got some for Christmas) and am using it as a spending diary - scary already! Hoping the spending diary will help with the diet as it will help me cut down on buying lunches and snacks etc.
I counted up my penny pot last night and have £25 in there plus sold two items to a friend who gave me £25 for them today.
I have £30 in my purse and will take out my weekly £30 on Friday - i'm going out for the day on Friday so need to not spend too much.
I'm going to try and add £1 to my penny pot every day and at the end of the year it should pay for most of the Christmas presents. Christmas 2013 was exceptionally expensive as we hosted 11 people and catered for everyone including booze. We bought way too much so at least all i have to do this year is presents.
Had another bid on one of my items on ebay and am going to have another look this weekend for more items i could sell.
I've given up shopping on QVC for lent which will be hard but i've deleted the app from my phone to make it harder to shop!Lloyds CC: [STRIKE]£8651[/STRIKE] £8307 - Barclaycard CC: [STRIKE]£813[/STRIKE] £1208
