Anniversary Cufflinks/Tie Bar, but...

Our 3 year anniversary is coming up next week, I was planning on getting the OH a nice tie bar/cufflinks set, especially as he has a big interview coming up, so I want to get him smartened up! Boring I know, but he'll get a new train set as well to make up for it. The thing is his watch is gold (well, it has gold plated bits, I mean) so would silver look out of place?


Should I get gold or gold plated to go with the watch? Or does it not matter? I'm clueless about these things! I can't really find any nice gold/plated sets though. Silly problem, I know!

    I would probably try to stick with something gold - is his other 'jewellery' gold as well or does he wear a mix? Could you find something with gold AND silver on it?!

    His engagement ring is silver and gold, a mix could work, maybe, then? I think you may have the right idea! Back onto Google I go!
    He's hopeless. This morning he said he'd go for the interview in his old work trousers and a tie with a black jumper. I despair!
