I could do with some suggestions as to what product I should buy to disguise the tiny thread veins that have started to appear on my cheeks. Im also finding that my cheeks are increasingly quite ruddy in appearance too.
Problem is I never wear make-up ever. For me to put on moisturiser is a rare occurrence. But im not liking what im seeing in the mirror, so am prepared to do something about it.

Sorry the trouble is you should have been putting sun screen and moisturiser on everyday for years. Hence the ruddy cheeks and thread veins now.
You can try a anti redness moisturiser with high spf and use everyday.
Since you don't like foundation, which won't cover either concealer and foundation might tone them down.
The only true way of getting rid of thread veins is getting a salon to inject and kill the blood supply. But this is very expensive.0 -
To cover redness, use a green concealer. Maybelline has one, never used it myself though, so can't give a persoal recommendation.0

Go along to a big Boots or Debenhams and find the Beauty counter. The Clinique ladies might look a bit scary but they are SOOO nice and extremely helpful. Plus they know a HUGE amount about what make-up tricks work for different skin types.
I know Clinique do a range to combat redness that my mum swears by, but you could also try No.7 or Clarins?0 -
For coverage, if you can afford it, I would invest in the Estee Lauder Doublewear foundation (you can get a free sample to try), if this is too much money then a good concealer may help. Now, this might sound strange but for the past 2 years I have used the Garnier tinted eye roll on not just under eyes but swirled all over the cheeks, blended and then topped with Rimmel Stay Matte powder. It may or may not work for you but with constant rosy cheeks - concealer is my must have product.
I have had rosacea all my life and try to do my best with my skin, a lot of things simply don't work plus it can be aggravated so easily by weather, spicy food, alcohol etc.0 -
If you are not used to putting stuff on your face a new regime needs to be easy to do, otherwise you may not bother after the initial good intentions.
I would suggest a tinted moisturiser or bb cream- moisturiser, spf and a slight colour all in one.
Garnier do a good one £10 ish
Bobbi Brown is amazing, but you pay a bit more, around £25ish.
I just think for someone not used to make up a 3 in one product may be preferable, also they dont feel like you are wearing anything, and your face doesn't feel covered."If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.":DMiss Mona, The Best Little *****house in Texas0 -
If you're not used to wearing make up have a go with something like Clinique CC cream. It won't make the veins disappear but they'll not be as obvious and you won't be covered in a layer of foundation.
I had some of mine zapped by laser therapy, not that expensive and really successful. I don't usually spend much time or money on myself but this was something that bothered me and I was really pleased with the outcome.0 -
Thank you for all the suggestions.
I am going to brave Boots or Debenhams this weekend and see what the scary beauty assistant suggest.0 -
