i am an anxious first time buyer. I have asked a lot of questions on here recently because of this.
are there any other first time buyers out there who share my anxiety?
my anxiety increased today when i spoke to a work colleague today who told me he paid 100000 for his house in 1996 and it is now worth 400000 apparently.
i understand the reason for high prices i.e. Housing shortage, help to buy etc. However, this does not reduce stress.

I did share your anxiety when I bought my first property many years ago. First of all do a budget, work out your money and then enjoy having your own home. If possible over pay from the beginning, even £10 per month will make a difference. I paid off my first flat after 15 years, when I first bought it paying the mortgage was a big struggle, it does get easier. I now own two flats and a house but that is because I am using the flat income as part of my pension,0
