Any luck with mortgages anyone?

I have seen the thread on here that was posted a few years ago about an ex-bankrupt who now has a mortgage (it lists the banks they rang and brokers etc.) but i was wondering if anyone has had any luck more recently.

Either who still has the BR on their credit score or someone whos out of the 6 years?

Try searching 'bankruptcy' under the Mortgage and Endowment forum, you'll find a number of helpful posts. There are also a number of mortgage brokers on there that have experience helping ex-BR's getting mortgages. Suggestion from brokers is it's entirely possible as long as file has been cleaned up, good sized deposit (15%) and perfect credit file in recent years. Also been suggested that you can get a mortgage around 4 years after BR and before it falls off your credit file, but the pool of lenders will be greater once it falls off.
