amnblog - no. It was a mix-up at home that caused us to call them directly.

Should I not wait to hear why first?

First time buying together. I have another mortgage which I plan to rent out (rent would comfortably cover mortgage) and I'm not sure if that was mentioned by my wife.

Have you discussed this with your current mortgage lender?

I spoke to them and queried if I can rent it out and they advised I can for 12 months.

What will you do after 12 months?

How much do you owe on the mortgage? What is the property worth? How much rent are you expecting per month?

GMS - it's worth £120k. I have 100k interest only, payments are £140 pm and expected rent is roughly £700.

After 12months will either sell, or ideally get a b2l mortgage.

Did your lender advise of any interest loading?

They just said as long as rent covers it it shouldn't be a problem. Is that likely to be true?

    Cov just called. Green light.

With the risk of being shouted at :) I spoke with L&C this morning and advised of the situation and a quick check came back showing santander (my bank) would work out a little bit cheaper. Worth the risk of applying with them now (through L&C) or could that impact our agreed Coventry mortgage?

As I understand it, you have gone to Coventry for a residential deal.
You have a current mortgage on another property which is not let out but you intend to keep it, get consent to let, and let it - is that the case?

    Have you told L&C this?

Also have you told them you have approached Coventry?
