Anyone recommend any good brands? Not bothered about cost
, but just want nice quality ones. I love the taste, but don't like the idea of all the scabby bits being used in the ingredients.

For the best quality and taste I can recommend Herta! :T
For the worst quality I can't recommend Ye Olde Oak
Here is Herta's rather bizzare website http://www.hertafrankfurters.co.uk/
They are available from the chilled meats section in most supermarkets and are 'boil in the bag'.0 -
If you are a member of Costco get the packs in thereA shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.

find a decent butcher, ask him exactly what he puts in his sausages or tell him what you want them to taste like and they will do it for you. never trust the garbage you get in tins/jars etc0 -
for hot dogs instead of 'sausages' try herta jumbo frankfurters
4 pack costs £2.19 but on bogof at tesco at the moment0 -
Try Lidl's Bratwurst for a different spin on the hotdog0

Well, that's 2 votes for Herta. I'll give then a whirl!0

Definitely herta frankfurters, I prefer the thin ones, yum yum, I also eat them cold which OH thinks is disgusting but they're lovely.0

yes i also suggest Herta, morrisons often have BOGOF."Do not look back and grieve over the past, for it is gone, and do not be troubled about the future, for it has yet to come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful that it will be worth remembering"0

Food of the Gods

I bought some called "Shulte" from Tesco last week - very good.
They are longer than Herta, and IMHO a more "authentic" flavour.0 -
Aldi do packs of Bratwurst too which are superb. My favourite is with feta cheese. And I hate feta cheese!!! They also do them with black olives / onion/ bbq/ or plain. They really are worth a taste.0
