Silk fabric suppliers

Hi

Has anyone got any suggestions for suppliers of silk fabric?

I am looking for a dusky/dusty pink colour for flowergirl dress - the ones I have seen are silk dupion fabrics but it is hard to find the right colour looking online.

Does anyone know of any suppliers/shops - I am based in East Yorkshire but can travel. I didnt realise how hard it would be to find a fabric shop selling suitable dressmaking fabrics these days!

Abakhan do it; they have a specialist dressmaking department. You can find them either online, or they have 2 shops; one in Manchester and one in Mold, Wales - might be worth giving them a call before making the trip if you can't find anyone local.

Wow! Thanks guys, I think I will have to make a trip to Manchester!

I will give them a ring and check they have the sort of colours I am looking for.
