I am looking to buy a new fridge freezer. I have seen two which appear to be identical. Even the model numbers are very similar. One is Bosch and the other is Siemens. However the prices vary from store to store. Does anyone on here know what the difference is between the two manufacturers and which would be the better purchase?

Are they under same group?

They are almost certainly made on the same production line so just take whichever one of the two you can get cheapest for your given criteria. We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.

Many thanks both for your help. It was as I suspected but I was confused by the difference in prices. On further reading I have discovered that the Bosch model has a 2 year manufacturers guarantee while Siemens has a 5 year.0

Bosch, Neff & Siemens are all part of the BSH group & the 3 brands are priced accordingly. . Bosch is usually the cheapest, next up comes Neff, which has a lot of integrated appliances in it's range, then finally Siemens.
A lot of their appliances do have basically the same model no's as you've discovered, but often there can be very slight differences, either in technical details or guarantee period. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
