What's the cheapest photo ID in the UK

I went and lost my passport and birth cert so I'm a bit stuck: I can't get a job without ID and I'm a bit broke!
So passport would be £69, provisional driving licence would be £50; does anyone know if you can get a cheaper ID card which a job would accept?
Thank you!!

You would need one of the above for photo ID - it is either a passport or driving licence.
You'd also need to get a new copy of your birth certificate to obtain a new form of ID.
Best start saving, and looking after your things!0 -
Depending on how recent your passport is the provisional driving license could be all done online without the need for birth certificate etc.
They may want something that actually proves your british though which a driving license doesnt to confirm your right to work here.0 -

not sure where you are in the UK but here in NI we have Electoral ID cards and they are issued by the local electoral office if you want one, just go and see them, fill out 1 form, get your photo taken and you have a new ID with in 10 days.
I did this recently as I had to fly to England the other week there ad had no other ID myself, hopefully this can help you in some way. Maybe check with some of your local government departments and see if they do anything similarmortui non mordent0 -
if you've had a driving licence in the past 10 years you can apply for a replacement which i think is around 20 quid and includes both parts:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one

You can get a DBS without a driving licence or passport but there are a few more hoops to jump through and you have to find extra bits of paper to wave at them. You'd need to get hold of a copy of your birth certificate as a minimum requirement. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
