I panicked this morning when he said he needed a haircut because I know there is no room in the budget this month but then I remembered he has his allowance so it will come out of that.

I use a trimmer, they are reasonably cheap and can soon pay for themselves. Very easy to use if you go for the number one look.

The trouble I can see is that on paper your budget is not balancing. This means that you just don't have the money to split into the various pots. You are overspending by 180 a month. Now you either need to find those savings somehow or, if this is not possible then you will have to consider paying less to your creditors and entering some kind of agreement with them.
I'd have a word with the debt charities and see what they have to suggest.
    Best of Luck

The thing that scares me a little is having to say no to things now. Even little things like some car journeys. Can't afford £30 of petrol every weekend for a jaunt so will have to restrict this. Just need to man up I suppose!

Its a huge adjustment. I got a couple of books from the library - Spendsmart (from spendaholics on TV) And Allen Carr's Get out of debt now, plus read loads on here. People are really ingenious and it can give you the courage you need to keep going forward.

We are lucky to have a home, food, health and making the most of our lives and our money is down to ourselves.

    Best of luck!
