Jobseekers Question

Hi,

I'm claiming JSA at the moment and have my second sign on this Wednesday.

My issue is that I've been offered work, strictly for one week only.

If I work this one week, will I have to reclaim all over again? Anyone have any advice or experience with this?

Equally, because I can't sign on, where will I stand on the money I should have received for the past two weeks? Because I still kinda need it...

Thanks!

when you phone up to sign off they'll ask when you start work end your claim the day before. They'll sort out what they owe you from that and make the final payment (takes a couple of days)
    thanks!

I've just had to do something similar....as Stix said you will get any money owed and this is paid within 3 working days...when you sign back on it will be as a rapid reclaim.

You have to work out if it's worth all the hassle with you signing off and going through all the hassle again of a rapid reclaim shortly afterwards.

There is always a chance that you might get work again with that company, so you would be getting more experience which would help in your job searching

Just to add that with a rapid reclaim you don't have to do your unpaid "waiting days" again if you were worried about that.
