How ti fit a monitor

Hi I've been looking at solar pv monitors,this one http://store.greenenergyoptions.co.uk/dp/B0093JODSY
and I'm unsure where to fit the wireless sender, the instruction state that it is fitted to the pulse output on the generation meter, on my inverter there is only dc in+ and dc in- and ac out, is the pulse output the ac out cable.

That sounds like the LED 'flasher' on the TGM. My optismarts use that.

Hi that pic you uploaded is of the same unit I have, is that where you fit the wireless sensor thats part of the monitor I linked to in the first post, and is it the monitor you have and if so would you but it again, I think there is also a version two too.

Mine is indeed the GEO Solo PV - same as the one you linked to, and that's the wireless sensor you see in the pic also - it covers the pulse light of the meter.
The unit is pretty accurate when comparing against the actual inverter's figures of generation.
Personally, I wish the transmitter itself was a little more powerful, as I can't have the display unit in my living room as the signal just doesn't reach far enough, (going through outside wall and a single stud/pasterboard wall - personally, I think all my rooms are lined with lead or foil-backed plasterboard as wifi signals are also terrible!!).4kWp system (Feb 2014) : 1.5 SW, 2.5 NE (16x Bisol BMO/250, Aurora Power-One UNO PVI-3.6 Inverter : pvoutput.org/list.jsp?id=299350 -

I was thinking the wireless sensor had to fit on the wires on the inverter in the loft.
As a side note my new electric meter and the generation meter look like the same unit.Pinxton Notts

I have a GEO chorus. Very similar to solo but also monitors import.
The meter has a small red blink light on it. The sensor just counts the flashes and tells the monitor. The monitor counts the blinks and works out how much electricity is going through the metre. If it's the generation meter it calculates what you have generated.
The sensor is held in place by sticky pads and Velcro. If the monitor suddenly shows your PV system has stopped working, don't panic. Check to see if the sensor has fallen off the metre. :-)
The great thing about monitoring like this is that its totally independent of your system. Its just watching a blinky light without interfering in any way. You can retro fit at any time and you can take it out if you want.0
