deep fat fryer

hello all, looking for a reasonably priced deep fat fryer efficient and able to handle meat like chicken whilst good and quick for chips...

It looks really good. I recently bought one having never had one before and I really love it - it's a breville professional fryer, same capacity and temp as this one but without the lid, and it gives perfect fries in 5 minutes every time: all crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and those are just the cheapest fries in iceland. It was £21.98 in my local morrisons, so you might want to check your local one out if you're looking for something a bit cheaper. This is the model:

I can't imagine that the lid would make much of a difference, as it doesn't spit much (if at all) but it does smoke a bit when cooking, so the lid would perhaps stifle that (not sure that's a plus).
Otherwise, I would think that with the same specs as mine it would be good.0
