Hi all. I have been a sole trader since Feb 2013. I have put my self assessment tax return in for 2012-2013, and during this time I have been paying the CSA a basic rate of £21.36 per month. I received a letter yesterday and they are asking for my most recent Tax Calculation Notice (I cannot call them as it is the weekend) and idea what they are referring to, and what I need to give them?

They mean your SA302. Info from HMRC, in which it is referred to as your "tax calculation": http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/sa/understand-calc.htmI often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.0

Thanks for the reply, I did mine online and never got sent any paperwork. Just a summary which I saved as an html file (is this the same thing via another name)0 -
Quoted from the link:
Managing your tax online
Register for Self Assessment Online, then you can manage your own tax in several ways. For example:
- if you sent your return online, you can print your own tax calculation
- you can look up what you owe using the 'View Account' option - you can do this even if you've sent your tax return on paper
- if your income has gone down, you can ask to reduce your payments on account
Bold highlight is the relevant bit. Simply log in and print a copy to send to them.I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.0
