I didn't know that Milk of Magnesia had been withdrawn. It's a nanny state gone mad!
Thanks though everyone. I feel satisfied that we've exhausted all avenues now!0 -

Boric acid, which I've used for decades as an eye wash, has disappeared too.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0

Castor Oil is another thing that can't be bought for love nor money at any local chemist anymore....I know 'cos I recently searched long and hard for it!!!
Did manage to find and buy it on Amazon though!

My mum and I are upset about this. We've both used it for years and I've only got a teeny drop left in my last bottle! We've been scouring every chemist we see, trying to buy up any stock but can't find any. Very annoying.0

I've written to the manufacturer asking why it has been discontinued and begging them to restart manufacturing again.
I know that Castor Oil was banned because women were using it to induce miscarriage, but as Indian Brandee was essentially just rhubarb, capsicum and glycerin, I don't understand why it has been discontinued. Unless there's a sinister side effect of too much rhubarb I don't know about!
Anyway, if anyone would like to join me in begging for Indian Brandee to be brought back, the manufacturer's address is:
Thornton & Ross Ltd
Linthwaite Labs,
Linthwaite,
Huddersfield,
