State Pension + Pension Savings Credit+ Personal Injury Compensation

Does anyone know here what the situation is if those who receive the State Pension and a small amount of Pension Saving Credit at approx. £5 weekly and have no bank savings, what can be expected when they receive personal injury compensation in the region of £2,000 to £3,000?
Would they receive less Housing Benefit even though they have no savings whatsoever, bearing in mind a single person can have £6000 savings before there is any deduction in Housing Benefit?
Thanks :rotfl:in advance of replies.

If you (and your partner if you have one) have under £6000 once you get your compensation, then your benefits will be unaffected.0

The limit is £10,000 for the over 65s.0 -

Not for everything. Capital under £10000 is ignored in pension credit calculation, but for housing benefit it's still £6000 (unless they get guarantee pension credit which the OP doesn't).0
