Wedding Dress from Dressilyme, China

Hello All,
I just posted on the June 2014 weddings thread, but I thought this information could be useful for everyone, so I'm re-posting here.
So, I ordered my dress online from China (Dressilyme), which as everyone knows, is a bit of a risk. It was a risk I was prepared to take however as (i) I absolutely hate trying stuff on and the thought of dress shopping filled me with dread (ii) I live in Switzerland, I'm British and I'm getting married in France, so where to dress shop anyway? (iii) the price of many dresses seems extortionate for something I'm going to wear once, for a few hours (and many of them are made in China anyway!!) and (iv) when I did look in a couple of shops, most dresses seems variations on strapless, backless gowns, which I'm not keen on. The online shops have literally thousands of designs to browse through, so I was able to find something to my taste.
So, I found the dress, chose the colour and paid an extra tenner for custom measurements. I wasn't convinced it would be a perfect fit however, even with custom fit, partly because my own measuring skills are not much cop. And I was right - whilst the length and shoulder width are perfect, the waist/torso is too big and will need taking in; but it's nothing major.
I paid less than 150 GBP for the dress and then something like 20 for the shipping. I am delighted at the quality of the finished product, not only the fabrics but also the stitching and embroidery. It also came really quickly too - they said 40-45 days but in fact it was only about half of that. So, if you want to see some pictures, have a look here;

As I said, I am extremely happy with it and once it has been altered and pressed, it will be close to perfect! Thus, I can certainly recommended Dressilyme, based on my own experience anyway! :T:j:D

Thanks Steph, I am! Just hope it won't be too hot - there are lots of layers of tulle and satin and I'm getting married on 7th in June in the south of France. Don't want to be sweating!!Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one.

Thanks tillenna, glad you think so too! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea with the full tulle skirt, but I love tulle and there aren't really many legitimate occasions for a grown women to wear it, so I'm taking my chance!Remember Occam's Razor - the simplest explanation is usually the right one.
