Stupid bloke needs loan help

I have tried all the other options and only have the option of payday loans left. What I am after is a recommendation for a loan that will be marginally better than that root and will accept someone with my history.0

Paying these debts now will not instantly improve your credit rating so any credit check that a potential employer makes on you will highlight your defaults etc.0
-
It's unlikely you will get the loan you want so you will need to be more assertive with some creditors if you have no choice but to pay £5k in 30 days, you already have defaults and late payments so what is the worse they can do if you say you can only pay X amount? All that glitters is not gold.0

Sorry but no legitimate lender will and the payday loans will not lend you anything like £5k.I have tried all the other options and only have the option of payday loans left. The only company I know who might help are Amigo loans but you will need a guarantor and believe me they are the devil and will debit your guarantor's bank account as soon as you miss or default a payment. Do you want this on your conscience - do you care??0 -

You are right but when I get credit checked for employment it only picks up on CCJs and bankruptcy. Both of which I am concerned to avoid at the moment.jonesMUFCforever wrote: »Sorry but no legitimate lender will and the payday loans will not lend you anything like £5k.

Completely agree with you about Amigo. I am not going to have anyone else responsible for my mess. Interestingly (and a part of the problem for a lot of people) I can get around £8k of payday loans at any one time and at one point I did!!!!! (yeah I know !!!!!!!) They really don't check and certainly seem to have no awareness of how many you have and what value! What I wanted was a cheaper option. Looks like I will have to try my creditors again, spin them out and use some payday loans.0 -

Not really.
It's said ad infinitum on these forums that affordability checks mean a lender won't lend past 1/2 salary. It can (and in this case) does happen.
I appreciate that many will see the nearly twice average income left over as struggling is odd but usually more income equals more spending. I suspect the OP has a bit of a "keeping up with the Joneses" going on. They don't want their colleagues/employer finding out their dire financial situation (and it can result in a firing in the financial services/accountancy/law sectors.)
The OP wants a temporary fix out of a hole without the employer knowing and I doubt a PDL will provide the capital they require.
But as far as the OP goes, if the creditors won't accept a temporary reduction in payments then the only options are default or throw yourself on the sword with your employer.0 -
I wonder if OP works in financial services or the legal system?
These are the 2 employment that I would not want a ccj/bankruptcy to show on my files either as they could finish your career.0 -

Yes my username says it all I am not making any excuses or looking for sympathy, blaming the system etc I have brought my situation upon myself. That said what I was asking about makes perfect sense if you are in my situation nothing fishy! Not really.

Most of what you say is spot on apart from the keeping up with the Jones' bit I have downgraded on everything apart from what I "need" for work. Which does require a certain type of car and clothing!!! The vast majority of what I earn goes on debt repayments. The thing I am grateful for is that my career has gone well. I will be out of debt in a year. Make plenty of money for a couple of years and then get out of the rat race and into something that sits better with me personally and ethically!!!jonesMUFCforever wrote: »I wonder if OP works in financial services or the legal system?

Yes one of those two!0 -
I have an immediate need to pay of £5k worth of debts in the next 30 days or so otherwise I risk screwing up my credit rating even more and being taken to court.
My debts will all be cleared by December this year.
Then you need to write to all your creditors and explain about your extra moving expenses and reschedule the repayments so that you pay them all off in Feb or April whatever next year. Borrowing more at stupid rates now is not a sensible option. If you can't pay the new debts this month then a payday loan will mean that you will have to pay them plus a lot of interest next month.0
