In 2008 they calculated that he had underpaid during 2007 so they set up additional payments which were to be made (which he did as fair enough, he hadn't paid enough) and he then started paying direct to the CSA as they now requested.
I am not sure about the second point about the parent with care stating she has received £800, I have no idea how that figure was reached.
DUTR, I'm not sure why you keep saying he's made a mistake? we've checked the letters and they tell him to pay direct to the parent with care. There wasn't an option given of paying direct to the CSA until 2008 letters. Yes, I was wrong in my previous post, I thought it was a choice, it wasn't.
Because I believe he has. After all paying direct can sometimes be a mistake as the recieving party 'forgets' that they have recieved payments. Especially at school uniform , birthdays, xmas time etc.
Also changing jobs etc may change circumstances and the payments deducted maybe higher or lower creating a shortfall or extra, CSA2 onwards it's relitively eay to calculate what the payments should be.
My posts are not an attack but the ideas should be considered even though it's not what you may wish to read. Yes the CSA can/do make mistakes, but your partner can keep track also.0 -

We have considered the ideas, there were regular payments, on a monthly basis, all paid as per CSA directions and as per their calculations. He has the standing orders documented for all these payments.
Interestingly, he has phoned the CSA today, and another worker has confirmed that they DO in fact take these payments into consideration and it was all calculated on a different system to what there is these days. She couldn't tell him where the £800 voluntary payment had come from so goodness knows?!! He is sending the statements off to them and they will recalculate for the THIRD time!!
Doesn't seem like they have a clue.0
