Just updated my signature as I went online to look at the figures. Slightly better than I thought.

I transferred £50 from another account into the offset as it was sitting doing nothing....every spare penny will go into the offset until my DH agrees to use some of it as a lump sum overpayment. The offset money we see as a EF / House renovation fund but the longer it is there, the better!

I have just sold some CDs on mus*cmagpie for £7. Not much but it's a declutter as well as £7 to the offset when I get the money.

Just back from a HUGE dog walk so currently taking photos of stuff to list on eB*y.....won't get much but everything helps!

Can't wait until Thursday when the mortgage goes out of the current account!!

    Morning,

Well, just checked mortgage statement online. Down to £157,672.14. So out of a £1100 mortgage payment, £803.06 has gone to the capital, £296.94 in interest. Daily interest is £9.99.

According to the statement, the payment has taken another 6 days off the term bringing it to 21st November 2033. This date is not right as the o/ps we make are not taken into account apparently as the C&ventry will only re-calculate the date once a lump sum is paid....a little annoying but hopefully will be a nice surprise one day!

Feel a little low as DH has said that we can not move any of the offset savings into the mortgage as he wants to do the house renovations. I kind of know he is right but I still want to see some real changes to the mortgage.

No other news apart from that; just trying to have as few spends as possible until pay day in 15 days time.....
