My Diary

I have overspent every month for years.

My husband had a very well paid job but got cancer 7 years ago and redundancy followed. Our lifestyle continued as it was and I finally had LBM last month.

I will note figures down tomorrow morning after a good nights sleep.

New bank account up and running.

Step change have contacted creditors.

Jobs to do: Ensure husbands wage has gone into new account, if not try and catch it in old account and transfer.

Monitor Electricity/gas = enter online reading tomorrow.

Ebay, I have a few books and things I want to sell. Can anyone recommend a site for books in excellent condition.

I need to check that pet insurance is still active and then try and find cheaper. Was using pet plan for 2 pets total £39.

Can anyone recommend a good online budget tool please?

Husbands wage safely in new account, just need to help hubby keep on track. Yesterday he said he would take £20 out to treat himself to lunch because its payday.

Spent a lot of money on half term, 3 kids 16 14 12 all making arrangements to go out and being invited out. I will budget for school holidays

    in future.

Asda Delivery yesterday 145/500 for the month.

A NS day today. Son taking dog for a walk and eldest studying for uni. I'm taking it easy in prep for 2nd of 2 night shift.

Today off to boots for an eye test - I think I might be able to claim back from Health sure/Saturday fund. Must dig out paper work now.

I won't buy glasses there because apparently I can just get the prescription and buy elsewhere.

After got training at work for a few hours...boo..will pack lunch to save money. Better dash, have a good day everyone.

    Hi solong,

There are a few places you can sell books to in bulk, though individually there's Amazon and eBay.

For bulk, try Zapper (I've used them and found them pretty good) and then there's webuybooks and MusicMagpie (the latter doesn't have such good reviews).

Well done on your progress. :)

Spend today was £10 on eye test, I'll get this back from insurance.

£8.00 on two cards and lunch at boot (Must get organised and make a few cards)...Does anyone know any good craft sites for presents.

I've got some seeds and was thinking of plant pot for mum and mil for mothers day. Something I could make with the kids.

£35 at Aldi...on top of £145 Asda delivery Friday and £15 wine and chocs hubby got last night....woops.

Again down to not being organised. Got the free delivery service at asda. I plan to start basket and order deliver every 3-4 days instead of trying weekly shop.

    Hi solong

welcome to the debt free journey

For glasses i use either glasses direct or specky four eyes.
you can usually find a discount code somewhere on here or on hot uk deals
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/vouchers/50-off-frames-55-above-free-delivery-free-second-pair-using-discount-code-glasses-1833850
last time i needed glasses i ended up with two pairs for about £30ish

at the moment glasses direct are doing 50% off a £55 or more pair of glasses PLUS an additional pair FREE. the second pair doesn't even have to be the same prescription.
    They are FAB.
