This has been discussed elsewhere on MSE, as much because this BOOK TOKEN can be genuinely printed from the Internet.
You shouldn't have a problem with it at WHSmith or Waterstones, however it CANNOT be GENUINELY redeemed at Tesco even if you do buy the book there. Tesco, ASDA etc will not get the £4 back because they are not participants of the Book Token system - https://www.nationalbooktokens.co.uk
Personally I don't use this Book Token to reduce my shopping bill, just about every other money off coupon (normally from a manufacturer) where the retailer can redeem them at face value YES, but this one NO !
Too much usage of "worthless bits of paper" is likely to cause Tesco and similar to change redemption policy and maybe stop accepting other coupons altogether.

Thanks for thisI :heart2: Waitrose0 -
I was under the impression that since Tesco stocks books as well so they get the money, thanks for clarifying. I feel a bit guilty for having used a few in the past, wont be stocking up the July coupons though. This has been discussed elsewhere on MSE, as much because this BOOK TOKEN can be genuinely printed from the Internet.
