What HDTV???

Hi,
Im looking to take the plunge and get a HD tv. I am looking for a 26" or maybe a 23", as its only for my bedroom. I will soon be getting Sky HD, so im going to need something that is good with the HD Boxes. Im on a budget of about £350, but may be able to stretch by a few quid. Here are 2 televisions that i have been looking at.

The sharp:

Or the LG:

These pictures are just for reference, they are not the place where i will be buying from as i can shop around and get them cheaper, especially comet!!!!

Which tv would you recommend out of these, or which has the better spec, and picture quality?
If there are any other televisions on the market, feel free to drop in the link!!!

Any Help appreciated!!!

Unless you are planning to watch the set from about 2-3 feet away i doubt you would detect much difference in picture quality over SD
IMHO You need at least a 32" set to benefit from the additional resolution that HD will give you.
That gum you like is coming back in style.

Ok then, Sky HD doesnt bother me that much really, i just want an improved picture quality, other than my big 21" bush television.( dont take that the wrong way :p )

Would the sharp be better when when watching football matches, as iv noticed the responce timings are a little different between the LG and Sharp, with the LG being 8mm/s and the Sharp being 6mm/s.

    Thanks again

Hmmm i disagree, i've seen some 23/26' HDTV's in action and the quality is incredible. Plus with HDTV's so cheap you may as well get one over a standard definition set anyway

I have a 32" HDTV myself running BBC HD and a PS3 and the quality is far superior to Standard Def.

If you're going to get an HD LCD, I would reccomend you stick with Sonys or Samsungs, as they give the best picture quality (good colours, viewing angles etc.).

This sony is a bit over your budget but would be great, and this Samsung is a bit cheaper, but not as good sound (which wouldn't be a problem if you had surround sound for your HD Sky box anyway)
