Had 6 offers from Virgin recently on the same case until they got the rate correct.
Concessionary purchase which their systems and or operatives couldn't understand.
Very unlike Virgin to cause issues I must say. My favourite lender by some distance.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I wish I was this drunk this early!
I'm with the others on Accord, Virgin, and Leeds, only use as a last resort and give the client a massive health warning!
Leeds were so bad last time I used them I had to correct them for what they required to proceed!I am a Mortgage Adviser

I have no issues with Virgin. Submit everything to them and the offer comes pretty quick.

ok after reading through some of this I think I can see a pattern. something along the lines of banks hiring over worked underwriters who don't look at the paper work properly. or am I being to generous to the underwriters?
im being put through all sorts of agro and dumb a$$ questions from BM.
its almost like there a bit sadistic, as in just when you thought they would offer they ask another question, and delay everything by another week.0 -
Are the Woolwich a nightmare to deal with? I've just been recommended a 5 year fixed with them through London & Country and don't really have the time to be messed around waiting.
Apologies for jumping in on your work chat/rant!0 -
Not really, its a crappy back end system they have. You wouldnt have to deal with that though.
Cases can fly through if you follow their procedure. It really depends on your case, if you have told your broker you want a lender who will be efficient then they should have taken this into account. Woolwich can be great or a nightmare - depends on your circumstances.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I'm back ! Max was quite kind to me and only crashed twice so it was my lucky day. I learned a long time ago to save every page before moving on though.
Woolwich are fine actually, it's just the stupid broker system we have to deal with that grinds my gears.0
