Robinson Way debt collectors

I received a letter from Robinson Way asking if I had lived at a previous address 10 years ago and saying that I am due 2 debts, one for £1,034 due to HPH ltd(Ex NABG)and the other for £1,567 to the same company. I have no idea what these debts are for and havent lived at the address since 2003, I have received 7 letters in total since january of this year and now they have started phoning my home address. I have no idea how they got my phone number either.
Do I ignore these letters and phone calls? Whats my best plan of action? Im really worried I can barely afford to live month to month without handing over more money towards these debts which I have no recollection of. I have checked my credit file and these debts are not noted on it, Please help any advice is greatfully received, from a very worried forum user :(

Either ignore or perhaps send a letter something like the one in this link? --> http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=34906257&postcount=5

  • Hi Fermi, thanks for the advice I will post the letter asap and see what happens :)
  • Help!

I've now received my 4th letter regarding a debt I don't have any record of. The first letter was was to confirm so I was and the address I am living in. As I did not recognise them I did not respond.

The 2nd letter advised me that I had an outstanding debt with HPH Ltd ex Barclaycard with an outstanding balance, asking to get in touch with Robinson Way, on letterhead from CL Finance Ltd.bAgain as I have not had a Barclaycard I thought to check my credit file. Their is no record of this debt on my file.

The 3rd letter offered me a flexible repayment plan and a website address, requesting payment again. Should I contact the police?

The 4th letter arrived today offering me a reduced settlement of 50% as this has been agreed by their client.

What should I do? Should I get in touch? Is this a scam? I've seen other blogs referring to Robinson away and not sure if this is a debt that belonged somewhere else. This is money mentioned it in a recent article.

Help I have had no credit cards for over 6 years after paying them all off finally and now this seem to have surfaced which doesn't seem to exist anywhere on my experience file.
