Hi, I am new to this, so apologies if this doesn't show correctly.
I recently purchased 6 waistcoats , 5 ties and a cravat from Jackson The Tailors St Enoch Centre Glasgow. It cost £605 which was paid in cash, & was for my wedding.
Unfortunately, my fiance called off the wedding & broke up with me. I am absolutely devastated.
I went back to ask for a return and was told no- despite the fact that there is no returns policy on the receipt and that I have 3 witnesses who can back up the fact that I was not told verbally what the policy was.
Apparently there is a piece of paper on an obscure part of the wall, which indicates that for purchases which are altered/fitted, that they wont accept returns.
I contacted the manager and staff, and was told very bluntly and insensitively that the answer was no. I then went on to email what I believe to be the head office, and got a very rude email that appeared to be written by a 5 year old.
Only 3 of these waistcoats were altered in any way, and only one of the ties was altered to be the correct size for a child. I do not have any of the product purchased in my possession.
Please can someone let me know if I have a leg to stand on here, as now that I am alone I'm left with a lot of bills to pay all on my own, and really need that money back.
Marty

On the assumption that 'change of mind' does not come into the majority of refund policies I certainly wouldn't expect it to for personalised goods
But on the upside you do have a lifetimes worth of snazzy waistcoats/ties to wear :rotfl:0
