I hope this isn't a silly question! If I present a coupon for money off a particular product found in a newspaper or magazine for example, will the supermarket redeem it if I do not have that product in my shopping basket. I have vague memories of childhood when my mother used to present lots of coupons at the checkout and money was knocked off. I am sure most of the products were never in the trolley. In essence could i cut out the coupon and redeem it at the checkout regardless?
