Just like to inform everyone that Asda seem to have changed their policy on accepting the safe coupons. Your name must be printed on the top right hand side of each one, even though some of them are automatically generated and you can not actually do this, such as the recent

I tried to explain this to Asda, but seems to fall on death ears...Not sure on the PDF ones as there is no way to put your name on these either! I have sent three long emails to them explaining but they seem set in their ways. if people on here can also try it may help if enough people do it.
here is some of what was sent:
i know Asda's policy on coupon use http://asda-stores.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail_grow/a_id/979, but I was told I was not allowed to use them there. I have used them in the past there and all have been in date and used for the item specified. I was informed that it was because they have had many fraudulent coupon going through. This had nothing to do with me though.
They were safe coupons i was trying to use, and each has a unique personal number on each one so you could tell they were not photocopies. I even went on my iphone and connected to http://www.safecoupons.co.uk/
where you can input the personal number on each coupon and it will tell the store if valid or not. I did one just to show them nothing wrong with them. It came up as valid!
The manager there showed me a photocopy of what the coupons they accept should state. All was OK except she was saying that they should have my name on. My coupons said personalized coupon on them.
Some of these safe coupons are automatically generated and you can not put your name on. It is impossible. Please see one here http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/vegpotofgold.
Also there is the case of PDF coupons. You cannot put your name on them either. Please see one here http://www.smamums.co.uk/Portals/_default/Skins/SMA-Nutrition/img/coupon_newpack_toddler.png.
Please can you verify that all internet coupons from now on must have your personal name on? (which you will see from the links is impossible)
yours sincerely
here is one of the reply's I have received;

Thank you for taking the time to write to Andy Clarke regarding the coupons you were trying to use in our Southport store. As part of Andy’s team, he’s asked me to investigate and respond to you directly on his behalf.

Thank you for your patience while I looked into this for you. I’m sorry colleagues wouldn’t accept the voucher you produced, as it didn’t have your mane printed in the top right hand corner. The brief sent to all of our stores states a number of things colleagues should be looking for when accepting Safe Coupons, and the name is one of them.

I have spoken with Proctor and Gamble, the company who issue the Safe Coupons and I have been informed that in order to print these off customers need to register with www.supersavvyme.co.uk where you enter your details and are able to print off money off coupons. All coupons printed will have the name which has been registered printed in the corner. Whilst I appreciate these coupons have been accepted before, without the name colleagues do have to follow the correct process. Which would be to ensure the customer’s name is printed on the coupon.

That being said, I have spoken with Eleanor Radcliffe, the Customer Service Manager and asked that she address the service you received as you should have had to wait so long for this to be dealt with. She will provide further coaching to her colleagues and ensure they are fully aware of the process regarding these coupons.

Thanks again for sharing your experience with Andy. If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Kind regards

Thanks for taking the tome to respond to my email.

I’m sorry if you feel I have been misinformed. The policy which has been passed to our stores is that these coupons will not be accepted unless the name is printed in the top right hand corner of the coupon. Whilst I appreciate you have codes from the Safe Coupon site, colleagues have been briefed on the policy and are not able to accept even though you show them the proof on your phone.

I’m sorry this isn’t the answer you were looking for. If there is anything else I can help you with please feel free to contact me.

pity they have not updated their coupon policy on their website! And they seem to be of the opinion that safecoupons are only issued via supersavvy! total idiots!
