Then you are out of luck. If you want a cheap one it will not last, and if you want one that will last it will not be cheap.

You can get many cheap printers these days, but the big cost is the ink. Manufacturers don't make much money from the sale of their printers, they make it from the sale of the ink.

They continuously "add features" that force you to buy their ink and not cheap generic ink off ebay.

So all you can do is pick a printer then imagine you have to replace the ink carts and look into how much they will cost you. Often, if you buy the manufacturers carts they will cost more than the printer did.

Also, don't just find a generic ink cart that the seller claims will work in the printer you are thinking of buying. Often when you keep searching you come across a site/forum that says the manufacturer has released a software update that stops them working.

So your printer works with the generic cart right up until the first time you have the printer switched on while connected to the internet. Then down comes a software update that either stops the cart working all together, or claims the cart is empty after printing a couple of pages. So you think "Oh, they didn't last long, I'm not buying them again".
