On the subject of printers...... I bought one of these Dell Colour Lasers a few months back and love it !!!

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dell-C1765NF-Multifunction-Colour-Printer/dp/B00AAWJC20/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1395588500&sr=8-4&keywords=dell+colour+laser

I bought it via Amazon but from a company called Bentham for £125 delivered.

I know a lot of people will be put off by the cost of the replacement colour toners, but Amazon also sell the compatables via a company called Prestige Cartridge.

At present a complete set of replacement compatible cartridges from Prestige Cartridge (Via Amazon) is currently £24.75

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/COMBO-PACK-Compatible-Cartridges-Printers/dp/B00977H4AG/ref=pd_bxgy_computers_img_y

So around £6.20 a cartridge and the reviews for them seem mostly favourable.

I have barely made a dent in the origional cartridges that it shipped with at the moment and we print a fair bit (With 2 childrens homework requirements) So cannot comment on the quality of the compatibles.

I am more than happy with the print quality and with it being a networkable printer I have connected to my router and the whole family can use it with ease.

On the face of it the print costs look much cheaper than buying inkjet cartridges which are forever drying out and requiring replacing.

Obvioulsy do your own research, as what suits me, wont suit others.
But this all in one scanner/copier/printer is the machine that I wish I had bought years ago. (It is fairly chunky and therefore larger than most similar inkjet all in ones)

Just thought I'd put the info out there just in case others are in the market for a colour laser at the moment.
  • The 50p off Pomegreat voucher is now valid until 7th April 2014. It is accessible from the link on the first page of this thread. Also you can print as many vouchers as you need.

As at this morning you can buy 3 cartons in Asda for £3, which works out at 50p per carton if you use 3 vouchers.

Also the 8for8 promotion on the Pomegreat website is still available!

Weightwatchers Love Fibre is currently reduced from £2.69 to £1.50 per box in Tesco. Using the PDF voucher at the start of the thread you get another £1 off meaning it is only 50p per box. I bought 10 boxes yesterday as use by date is February 2015. :j

Since this is a chat thread now as well, I'd just like to say to the new poster...don't go out and buy a new printer unless you are sure it is not a software problem on yours. It will take you quite a while to earn back the money you spend on a new printer.
Not trying to be a downer, but the amount of internet coupons has gone down a lot over the past year and I think we are going to be seeing more store printed, mail coupons being accepted, in addition to the cashback apps. Computers and smart phones are more important in the savings game, IMHO. I very rarely save much money on the coupons listed here, but I also don't eat 'anything'. Hope that helps! :D

Just to add, two years ago I probably would have saved about ten pounds over the year, max. Last year, a few pounds. This year, probably one pound from coupons. This does not include the cost of ink and the ink and paper cost on coupons that go unused. My savings now are on store loyalty card coupons and cashback apps (which you need a scanner or smartphone for!)
  • Thanks for the info about the printer, defairmans. I did actually buy one as DELL didn't bother to update their drivers for the old machine so it wasn't compatible with Vista. :|

Still...I got the new printer for £39.99. I've already printed vouchers and saved almost £5 in a week with them. I needed a new printer any way, so I think I'll be able to make the cost up pretty quickly. :)

Tried to use the last one of my Dr Oetker coupons today in Asda, what a palava! Ended up with 4 assistants with me at the self service checkout (rather embarrassing) to be told by the 4th assistant that they could not accept the coupon as it was a photocopy. No it is not and I object to being accused of attempting fraudulent use of a coupon!

I was refused use of one of these coupons in Asda before and put up with it that time as I used the coupon in Co-Op instead. This time I contacted Head Office and after a long and drawn out process, there now should be a note in their handover book to accept my coupon and for me to receive a £5.00 giftcard for the hassle. Fingers crossed I don't have any trouble tomorrow!

Ahhh, needed to get that off my chest lol.

Hi Chels, my wife had a bad experience in Asda with the same voucher at the weekend. With the checkout girl asking "What? You expect me to deduct the whole cost of the pizza?" "Err yes please that is exactly what is required" "I don't think so" etc etc - Eventually and reluctantly the girl accepted it and then almost threw the till receipt at my wife - How rude!! I think Asda might need to reinvest in some additional training for checkout staff!

I just don't understand the attitude of some staff, there's no need for it! It's not coming out of their pocket. Glad your wife managed to use the coupon in the end.

I'm pleased to say i've just been back into Asda and came away with my free pizza and £5.00 giftcard for my trouble. Victory!
