Hi all - just a quick question. I declared myself bankrupt in 2005 and was discharged last August.
This year I'm starting uni and wondered if I would be allowed a student bank account?? I already have a basic account and could survive but you do get some good perks with the student account.
Any help would be appreciated.

It may be that if the OP has banked with the bank who they wish to get a student account with that it is down to local decision over central credit checks. I know when I mentioned I was going to be a student, the attitude changed slightly as they think they may be able to make some money out of you in later life. The branch manager had the final say and approved my account1/11/06 -1/06/07 BSC #42
