I deleted my post almost immediately after posting, it wasn't aimed directly at you as several people have mentioned in the past that they struggle with %ages or have asked what the cost is after APG?
i'm going to go now as i'm not going to get in to an argument over it:beer: Happy Bargain Hunting!! :beer:0 -
TrulyMadly wrote: »Just back from GP to get results from my 24 hr Blood Pressure check from last week.Confirmed what I knew all along. I have white coat syndrome!
The first reading was in the surgery and it was sky high and it then stayed within the average band right through the working day. It surged at 5pm when I decided to do a home blood pressure check to see if my home reading coincided with the test results. That was a self fulfilling prophesy........I even get high BP at home when I'm taking my own BP. Through the night it was perfect and then surged at 8am when I was in A picking up my C and C:rotfl: the reading was actually being taken as the young SA was getting in a muddle over my Radox hand washes. The top reading Rose about 20 points:eek: Proof in itself that this glitching business is stressful:eek:
Just makes you wonder how many people are on BP medication unnecessarily just because they are unable to give normal readings with their GP and like me suffer acute anxiety when faced with a trip to the GP.
so we all need a bit of stress ,
and what better way to get it than picking up cc with free handwash0 -
Good Evening.
How is everyone? Had a good day?
Had a massive wardrobe malfunction at work. Bent over to get something out of my locker and my jeans ripped. Had to walk around with thigh showing all afternoon. Sooooo embarrassing. Plus the jeans were so expensive and all. Oh well.
Keep your eyes open at train stations as they have been handing out free Weetabix cereal drinks. Managed to get 3 today at Leeds.
Not sure if anyone uses the Biotherm range (forking expensive) but on Boots.com if you buy 2 items, it's handing out 1500 advantage card points. It says 1 item needs to be something posh and expensive but works with any 2 items. Cheapest is the lip butter at £9. Link is as follows http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CatalogSearchResultView?storeId=10052&st=specificPromo&promoName=1500+points+when+you+buy+2+selected+Biotherm+products%26%2344%3B+1+to+be+Aquasource%0A&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
Also, on Boots.com, buy any selected Colgate items and get a nail polish free.
On that note, I am off for something to eat. Hope everyone is having a good evening.0 -

Is it emerald who has /is about to cancel Sky? Plus info for others thinking the same.
We cancelled our totally FREE package including Movies and Sport for the 27th of last month as otherwise it would have been charged. We had 4 months FREE everything, then a break for 2 wks or so. Then they offered us 6m FREE everything & when I called to cancel at end of month 5 they offered us another 6m FREE everything. Over last 15.5 months we have had FREE everything.
When this subscription was coming to an end, sadly they didn't offer us FREE anything but we were told we could have a new HD box if we paid £13.50 a month for a year - for the full entertainment package, no sport or movies. I declined this. Yesterday someone from Sky phoned and asked if we'd like the entertainment package at 75% off £6.75pm. I asked if we could have a new box with this but he said he'd have to get someone to call us back on that. (our box sometimes tells us something on our watch list is about to start when it's over).
OK phone call today offering new box for £13.50pm contract 12m. Told lady we were offered £6.75 yesterday. LONG WAIT......... on phone. Came back and offered full entertainment package (no movies/sport) + new box for £6.75 for 12m.
Shame it's not with movies & sport but I think we have a pretty good deal.
We have NEVER paid full price for Sky - we had a great deal when it was installed, many years ago. £6.75 is about the most we've EVER paid BUT we needed a new box & I think this is as good as or near to the best deal for a new box we're going to get.
We'll see what they offer next February when we call to cancel?
For all those thinking of cancelling Sky - just be prepared to be without it for a couple of weeks or more, until you get a phone call. Be nice to them & just tell them you're on a budget, yes, you'd love to have it but circumstances mean your money goes elsewhere.
It's worked extremely well for us - it could do the same for you!0 -

My dd likes the sainsbobs and sada own brand nappies as so much cheaper but happy with pampers if there is a glitch on (especially as they did the mistake buy 1 and get 5 packs free and on clubcard boost last year).
Evening all
Had a nice day at art class:) Then popped to lidl for some art paper for painting on with acrylics but unfortunately none left. If anyone spots some in South East kent please let me know. Absolute bargain and comes in 2 sizes.

Teeny is 2 months old, she weighed 10lb something couple weeks ago and the size 2s (6lb to 13lb ones) have started not to fit as well, few leaks. So DD1 decided to try the size 3s today but she is well in the bottom weight for them.
I didn't buy above 4+ when the old packaging was RTC in Ts last year as was not sure my girls ever got into nappies any bigger than that.0 -
