I'm so excited and it's all thanks to you lovely people! :j:j:j

Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me get my first price promise vouchers! :T:T:T:T:T
    :beer::beer:

I've just come back from Toscas (or whatever you call Mr T's shop) and I managed to get... not just one, but two 'Price Promise' vouchers :j(I was so elated when I got the first one I told my dh to stay in the car while I went back and did another little shop)! :rotfl:

The first time I went in, I wanted to buy some things I needed including some stuff on offer as well as try to get the glitchy Finest burgers and Dr Oetker pizzas so I split the things in my trolley and paid in 2 batches (first batch had everything on offer that I thought would probably be cheaper in Toscas and I put these through separately so I wouldn't cancel out the glitchy burgers and pizzas in my second batch of shopping). After I put the first lot of shopping through the cashier announced cheerily, "You've saved £1.61."

"Oh that's good," I replied equally cheerfully as I loaded my burgers, pizzas and fillers onto the conveyor belt, crossing everything I had in the hope that this lot would give me some money back! :D

When the cashier gave me the 2nd receipt, she looked rather shocked as she announced, "You have £10 off your next shop!"
"Oh that's marvellous," I replied, trying to look the picture of astonished innocence! ;) "I wonder how I managed that?"

"That's the maximum you can get," she replied, "at least that's the most anyone has ever got coming through my till anyway," (to be fair she looked very young so might not have been working there long).

After I got the £10 voucher for the first shop - (I bought 3 packs of the Finest burgers and 4 Dr Oetker pizzas plus lots of fillers) I went back in and bought another 3 packs of Finest burgers and some more fillers (unfortunately they had sold out of pizzas) I went through the SS tills and I got a voucher for £6.12. :j

TBH, I probably bought more fillers than I needed to as I was worried something wouldn't work!:o

I'm also not sure whether I did it wrong by getting the pizzas and the burgers in one shop - any advice gratefully received.

I would like to go and get some more burgers (and pizzas if they are back in stock) tomorrow. I'd be really grateful if someone could tell me whether, if I use the vouchers I got today to buy the burgers tomorrow, will I still get another 'Price Promise' voucher back or do I need to pay in full to get a voucher?

    I also have a £5 off a £40 spend voucher - can I use that?

Thank you all again for your warm welcome and great advice.

The TWERK comment made me lol. Having been born and bred in Yorkshire, I've still to find a Yorkshire person that speaks like that. Maybe all the folk I know and grew up with are "posh". Having said that, all the kids at my school had horses and went to Paris every other weekend or Daddy took them to Dubai or what not! :o:o

Did anyone watch the floods programme on Channel 4? Ouch, it was bad! Hope no one off of here suffered as bad as the folk on the show did.

My turn for the jukebox. I've got a bit of an anthem from the lady herself Bee Yawn Say. It's about making the most of what you have because you don't know how long you have it for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xUfCUFPL-8&feature=kp

I'll start off the evening's jukebox selection with a nice funky tune to get the party started...

This is me too, dont want to be switching every month, i just want to know where to put this money when i get it as too much for my ISA due to the standing order every month:rotfl::rotfl:

If you are happy to tie the money up for several years, there are various bonds about that give a half way decent return.
