thought I had struck 1p gold today, lad was putting some things off a crate onto the reduced shelf, spotted Divine Christmas trees and other Christmas sweets with a 1p label, :j so being a helpful sole went to save him transferring them BUT he noticed and said we they can't sell these, they will not go through the tills, we just have to dump them. Did say I think they will but he was not parting with them so I very grudgingly left them0

I'm having a 24 hr BP check at the minute. It checks every half hour up until 11 tonight and then hourly through the night. Or it's supposed to. It keeps going off at random times so I hope it isn't faulty:o. My poor arm is feeling rather weak:o:)
But then I am a wuss.
GP is hoping to eliminate white coat syndrome but I can feel my BP rising on the half hour as I expect the test. POO POO POO
i had one of those for the same reason a couple of months ago,but i was so worried bout the results reading was still high.:rotfl:
gp accepted the bp readings i took at home in the end,:)0 -

My Ts order just got delivered. DS2 was screeching like a banshee when he saw the driver carrying his coke up the drivehe then thanked the driver several times a bit too enthusiastically
:o. The driver said, you should thank your mum she bought it.
He said yes I would if she hadn't been forcing me to drink Pepsi for weeks
I hadn't told him I'd ordered it....just in case. He's now in the huff because he's had a can of Pepsi after school and the one can a day rule means he has to wait until tomorrow for some coke.:rotfl:

I meant to say there s a book free on kindle at the moment called. Manage chronic pain. 270 pages I think it was and a printed one and the print list price is £17 . Might help some of you
The fault with my phone line was at the exchange. I feel like seeing if I can get the £35 I paid for an ex bt engineer to tell me before I phoned Bt because bt were saying the fault was in my house. Now if they d have said the truth I'd have saved this £35 wouldn t I .
That is quite common. The amount of houses we have been out to because BT have tested the line and it has "tested OK" and then we get there and there is no dial tone in the test socket. To be honest, we make a fair bit of our trade mopping up after BT
The worst story I have is a couple of months or so ago there was some hefty winds and they blew a tree across an overhead cable that carried 50 lines. Two weeks after it was reported an ex BT engineer got fed up and reported it as dangerous (it was not truly dangerous, just not high enough up). Up to then none of the lines was even crackly, it had just stretched it a bit. This is in a prosperous area, everyone has alarms connected to the police. At 10:30 at night a BT engineer attended, took one look and, instead of dealing with the tree or getting it dealt with, he takes a pair of loppers and cuts the cable :eek::eek: The place was apparently swarming with police and fire engines for a couple of hours after that, took them that long to work out what had happened!!
Another thing to watch out for if you have BT out, they never put extension cables back on!What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
