Hi, does anyone know what the purpose of a "Flexible Intervention JSA Apointment" is?
I have an idea, but wondered if anyone had experience of this, or know the strict purpose of it.
Cheers

never heard of it. Sorry. Perhaps someone later on tonight will know.Pitchshifter wrote: »Anyone any ideas?0 -
I actually found this:
Core interventions for JSA customers are:
A diagnostic interview to identify individual needs at a new claim
Minimum face to face fortnightly job search reviews
Work Programme Pre-Provision review
and:
Outside of these Advisers have the flexibility to determine the frequency, duration and content of further interventions which are personalised and tailored to need.
Also of interest to others on this board:
Department for Work and Pensions

Work Programme Returners
Help to Work
•
Mandatory Intervention Regime
provides a six month period of intensive
help and support through frequent meetings with a Personal Adviser backed
up by a stricter benefit regime.
•
Daily signing
will be introduced in April 2014.
•
Community Work Placements
aimed at claimants whose key barrier to
work is lack of work experience or motivation. Consists of 6 months on a
community work placement for 30 hours a week alongside job search
(Introduced April 2014).

Sorry -only slightly more helpful than Lakes - it could be for any reason that an adviser deems it appropriate to see you more often than on a 'signing day'

Fancy title for having another Jobcentre appointment.Pitchshifter wrote: »Hi, does anyone know what the purpose of a "Flexible Intervention JSA Apointment" is?

They like these fancy titles, often they disappear under the next new government DWP programme, initiative, reorganisation, rebranding.0 -

A flexible intervention is just an advisor appointment.0 -
Yea, a fancy name for a JCP appoitnemt. Different customer groups have different appointment types, each client group falls under a differnt catagory. Help managers keep a track of how many claimants on each particular stage of jobseekeing.
I.E flexible intervention, lone parent JSA flexible intervention, ESA flexible intervientions. Full NJI, RR NJI, AdHoc, JCP caseload, JCP non caselod and so on.......0 -
Cheers to everyone who replied, I have a clear idea of there purpose now.
As it happens they are leaving it a whole month to see me next, instead of the usual 2 weeks.
BTW I was told that the process of checking job searching and compliance with the Claimant Commitment is soon going to be a fully digital process and "so you must allow us access to Universal Jobmatch, so we can check up on you easily" and "You won't need to attend the jobcentre, won't that be convenient".
Hmm, a means of more easily finding reasons to sanction I think, as UJ is a rubbish website and quite dysfunctional in many ways.
Anyway I'm pretty confident of getting a job before I have to attend next and listen to the "Advisor/Coach/Cockroach", give me a condescending lecture on how I must prove to them in spectacular detail how I'm seeking work.
I genuinely feel sorry for the long term unemployed and people now dependant on the state in this country and abroad.
The powers that be will not be happy until everyone is in poverty.

Over and out.
