how to get dog smell from settee??

Options
Hiya,
I got a new settee from a charity shop the other day, trouble is it stinks of dog. I've tried febreeze (well supermarket one) which half covers it up but not for long. The cushion covers are removable but there's no washing instructions for them so I'm a bit wary of attempting washing in case they shrink. Material is 80% polyester/chenile and 20% cotton if that helps.

Any ideas on anything I can use, thought about bicarb sprinkled on then vacuumed off but that wouldn't work on the front and sides. Or how to wash the covers??

Thanks
