I am on A/L this week and i have been asked if i can work Tuesday-Thursday 8am-6pm on each day.
What overtime pay will i receive bearing in mind i am a part time worker? (30hrs per week)
I have looked at NHS terms and conditions but it doesnt explain this.

Why would you get overtime? Wouldn't you just not be using your annual leave, so you can use it another time?Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0

What does your contract say? I know I would not get any overtime. Just the same time off later.0

Well my manager knows i need extra money so why would he ask me to work on my annual leave if it didnt benefit me? I wouldnt have agreed if i wasnt going to get extra pay.
I dont have a copy of my contract, as i said i have looked at NHS t&cs and it says nothing.0 -
He doesn't care about your circumstances, he cares about his shifts being filled. I very much doubt you would be paid overtime. Surely you should have asked before accepting?0

I beg to differ, my circumstances help fill most of the shifts my manager is short when no-one else wants them as he knows im desperate for money atm.
I have never worked on AL before so i have no idea, just presumed it would be worth my while. Maybe i should have asked but my manager has been great with getting my extra shifts that i thought i would get paid extra for this week.0 -
You must be allowed to take your minimum holiday entitlement, by going in to cover other shifts you are not on holiday.0

There is only really one person that can answer this.
If your boss has been helping you out then I agree, no reason to expect you would be doing this just to have to rebook your holiday later but you need to clarify with him what the deal is. I'd expect it to be your normal rate + your AL pay.Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Of course, the OP needs to take the minimum statutory entitlement (4 weeks*) by 31 March and has probably already done so. It would be possible to carry forward some holiday to the next year but I do not believe AfC is meant to pay twice for the same day - normal (or enhanced) and annual leave at the same time.
* the regulations allow 1.6 weeks to be carried forward (with agreement of both parties)0 -

But it's not for the line manager to say. Payroll will administer correct pay. I'm not sure that AfC allows an employee to sell back unused holiday.0 -
Do you wish to surrender your leave? If not,dont..simplesFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
