Comping on Pinterest...

I've just started using Pinterest for competitions, but my profile looks exceedingly sad and lonely as I have no followers I think this could count against me, when it comes to big companies looking for a winner.

Has anyone here actually won a Pinterest comp without any followers?

I've only entered a few, nothing won yet. I'm torn between keeping Pinterest as something of a promotion tool for my blogs and using it to enter competitions. ATM blogs are winning.

In terms of followers and winning, I am sure some companies operate that way, however I won a £60 perfume on Pinterest last year and I had barely any followers at that point

I'll post mine so you can have a peek if you like - but please be warned I use my pinterest a lot as a pin board for things I want to find easily and um.... (shuffles a little embarrassed) features my obsession with anime :-)
