Thank you!
The equal opp question makes my mind blank for some reason. I've got notes and will be 'revising' on the journey tomorrow. I've already ran through interview scenario with my very confused toddler, so fingers crossed!
PS- anyone who sees this thread to prepare for something similar, try sorting your own books at home. Helped me get it in order and had enough library books to do it with those too. There are also games on it online!Up and onwards to the future!

Yes good luck tomorrow. Will you come back and let us know how you got on and what they asked in the end? You realise you've got quite a gang of mates behind you here, all wanting this job but willing you on to get it. We'll all be there alonga you!0

It went OK. Don't feel I was charismatic enough to get it though, feel like I've not got it. They'll tell me next week.
Sorting test- one trolley, books on both sides, around 20 or so books on each. One side was fiction and needed to be sorted alphabetically. The other was non-fiction and needed sorting via Dewey system. Both I think I aced. I did say to them I'd been practising too.
Customer observation test- given a clipboard and short survey to read (1 page). I had to speak to two different random customers in library asking stuff like how do you rate the library etc. This was observed by the two interviewers. I led them well, one was just babbling about his newspaper and I handled that well. I was chatty and friendly, and lady scored me high and praised me.
Then I was asked about ten short questions interview style. NONE of which I'd practised!! One was to persuade them about your favourite book- the passage by Justin Cronin- but I babbled on about it being horror. After interview, I realised I should have said about characters, etc. I did say it had awards, film rights snapped up, things like that but think it wasn't put too well.
Then questions about how you'd cater equal opps in library- I spoke about lifts, hearing loop, different language books. One question about an example of teamwork- gave that- and how overcome challenges.
I babble and act stupid when words come out!! Wish I'd just taken time to think! I practised everything and now I think its goneI did round off well by asking about opportunities to train (in job descript) and thanked them. These interviews have been over two days so I feel like one out of several who are probably better. Just didn't get a chance to stress my enthusiasm or talk about the job really, feeling bit deflated!
Hope this helps someone nonethelessUp and onwards to the future!
