Table Plan Help?

Options
Wondering if anyone can help me with this.

I've gone and got a nice big A1 board to put my table plans on and have got some nice marbled paper to print each table on which will then be glued to the board.

I'll be doing the tables in Word in a nice fancy italic font but they still look a little plain.

So, what I looked for over the weekend was a nice border to go round the edge of the paper that I can just insert in Word but I completely struck out.

Anyone know where I can find some nice butterfly themed graphic's that I can insert into a Word document to use as a border?

  • Have you tried a search on Google images that you could then adapt in 'paint' to suit your purpose?

  • I dont know if you have tried this but as you are using Word, click on Insert, then choose Clipart, then type Butterfly in the Search Box. Under 'Results should be' choose Illustrations and Photographs. Hope this helps
  • Depending on what version of word you've got you can do quite a few adjustments in word too - I found a picture that I liked for our wedding invites (of a child on a swing) but it was the main image in white on a blue background and I wanted it the other way around, so I fiddled around with some of the colour filters in word and that got rid of the coloured background for me, and left me with what I wanted.
Officially saved enough to cover the cost of our wedding! :A
  • I think you should ask for it to your friends and if you are confused regarding then you can select it from MS word.

I have checked the stock Word clipart files but there's nothing in there that suits my needs.

I've maanged to find a perfect one but the site it's on wants to charge me a minimum of £29 to register and download it!

If anyone can find something like the image below please let me know

  • I haven't looked for what you're after but this page has lots of free wedding themed printables and templates links on it so hopefully they have something for you.

You can get it by right clicking on the image and choosing copy and then paste it into word and use the crop tool to edit the writing on the plan already. You may need to copy it in twice and crop it leaving just the top in one image, and just bottom in the second image to get rid of the writing - or insert a text box to cover it up. :)
  • I'm buying mine off ebay saves all the hassle :)
  • There are literally loads of options out there that are waaaay better than word and loads of free options too. Lots of blogs and stationary companies do free printable stationary for weddings.
Have a look at Bespoke Bride (it wont let me post a link because I'm new!)

There's also some beautiful inspiration on Pinterest for a butterfly theme!
If you're not very crafty why not buy a big butterfly shape hole puncher and punch a load of shapes out and decorate your table plan?

How about sticking some 3d card topper butterflies on to the print outs
I'm sure they do them in all different colours so you could probably get some to match your colour scheme?
