Virgin Active Problems

Anyone had problems with Virgin Gym? I cancelled my membership online on 3 Jan - they are now conveniently claiming not to have received it and saying I am due to pay until 31 March, leaving me £80 out of pocket. Apparently I must be lying because they have never had an issue with their online system before, which I find hard to believe. Anyone had a similar issue?
