Selling music magazines

I have just been clearing out some stuff in DM loft and found my collection of about 250 NME / Melody Maker papers all from between about 1997 - 1999.

As much as I'd love to keep them, realistically I don't have space nor am likely to really re read them in detail. I might keep one or two but does anyone know anywhere that might be interested in purchasing the lot ?

I wasn't sure whether there would be much interest on eBay. Might look into a local FB page though. Thanks for the idea.

I used to see these for sale at Record Fairs, that might be worth a go if there is one local to you, or even a book fair. That said, the internet has done for a lot of such fairs, so it might only be bigger ones that are still going which might cost more and be further away.

I'd probably have a look in Record Collector, though, and see if there's someone else selling them (maybe in the classifieds as opposed to the listing ads in the back) who might be interested in taking them as a job lot.

Problem is postage really - I've advertised magazines on eBay, low starting price, a brand new edition that isn't in the shops yet (advertiser copy), and had no interest. If you're selling individual ones that way, I think you'd really have to do some good listings (bands featured in each one, for example, that's what I'd be looking for, articles on a specific band) and that would be very time-consuming. Or sell them by the month and/or year. Or gather items about specific bands and sell them as a job lot aimed at fans of that particular band. Again, quite time-consuming though.

Thanks all, I'll have a look at Record Collector and go from there. Would deff rather sell all at once than individually so the whole collection goes together.
