Just relax. Did the free postage thing about a year ago. Yes, the box is BIG. Don´t worry, just call them before the free trial is up and they will cancel everything and pick the box up.

Remember to use up the postage though.

    Good luck!

Cheers dude ;) Only reason i was worried was because of all the expensive new looking stuff it had (ink cartridges / labels etc) and all the direct debit forums and all that. But ive used it (it was great fun!) and cancelled it and should get £10 cashback. They have yet to pick it up (their gonna ring me in 5 workign days to arrange collection) but it seems all good!

    Hi -

I have had this on trial with £20 of free postage - it is mostly for small businesses but I think anyone can use it as you do not need a VAT number. They will even come and pick it up for free once the trial is over.

    Remember to CANCEL.
I have received the machine on trial but did not see any sign for £20 postage. Can you advise me will I get postage like stamps etc separatly. Or should i email them not received any £20 postage or have to use the machine. Thanks,

Open your pink envelope - there is a data card in there, set up the machine as shown in the instructions, when it says how much do you want to refil (after plugging in ur phone line etc) select £20 (i rung up to check this!) it then puts the £20 free p&p onto ur machine. But however it does say £0.00 still, but i think it just adds up until you reach £20 so dont panic! After this you can go and use it!

Hope this helps! Ive just done this so i can remember thinking the same thing as you ;)

    Hi All,

Very exciting rading all about your experiences over this offer.

You are given a few bobsworth of equipment to play with, aren't you.

Scary. I can understand that but amazing, nonetheless.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

But how to use the postage. It looks very confusing & complicated to me. Will the postage have to use through the machine until the machine with you. Thanks.

What i just said above is how to add the postage to the machine,

Have you done the bit i said above? i.e. added the postage to the machine?

To use it once the postage is on, get out the digital scales in the pack, stick what ur posting on the scales, goto the royal mail website and look up the price list, if its just a first class stamp for example, its gonna cost 30p, according to the book, 2 decimal places are assumed, so just enter 30, press yes. Then i found the best way is to put ur envelope in on the left and slide it accross to the right, then it prints the franking mark. If ur doing a parcel as i was, use the labels included and slide accross. If you want to post recorded/special delivery, frank for the amount on the royal mail website and stick the label on the parcel!

NOTE: When checking for the prices be sure to look at the Business Rates, As from 7th April 2005 a basic weight First Class Stamp costs 30p, However its 29p for Businesses (ie: those who use a Franking Machine OR Have an account and use Royal Mail PPI's, not including Smartstamp users) You can find more at http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/content1?catId=600024&mediaId=18000222
